This week on FoxNews.com’s Fight Game Show we talked about UFC 96, Don King entering the MMA fray, the sad sad news about “Mask” from TapOut, and in this video a discussion about how StrikeForce will compete with the UFC.

On a side note - let me just say, albeit biased, that Mike Straka of FoxNews.com is presenting some of the best MMA video coverage/commentary anywhere. On a very limited budget he is cranking out weekly panel shows, on-scene reports from the UFC PPV shows, and weekly high profile interviews. And this week when the sad news about “Mask” from TapOut hit - Straka and FoxNews.com was likely the first MMA media outlet anywhere to broadcast a video memorial. It was produced and edited within hours of the news breaking.

ESPN is not doing as-much as-well on the video front, NBCSports.com shockingly bailed out of the MMA news business altogether - despite drawing great numbers, HDNet does their thing well however Straka is leveraging Fox’s online infrastructure to produce some of the best and most consistent video MMA coverage anywhere. Now, will the top dogs on 6th Ave see the huge upside potential of MMA and push FOX to take a leadership position during a time when others have stumbled … opportunity is there for the taking. This interview with Dana White/President of the UFC, was from a late 2008 edition of the Fight Game Show on FoxNews.com. I thought White had some vital points about MMA in NYC that I wanted to re-run for all of you nervous about the fate of the sport in the Big Apple. Also, I asked White about Gina Carano, and how he evaluates the popular female fighter. It was another great panel with host Mike Straka, Marcus Mera, and Adam Weiss. Click through to watch.
