Frankie Edgar deployed his trademark smothering pressure tactics to dominate Hermes Franca for a 30-27 victory on all three judges score cards in Las Vegas Saturday night. Edgar, from Toms River, New Jersey did not allow Franca any time to get off his feared big right hand by continually taking the Brazilian to the mat and unleashing fists and elbows inside the guard. In the first round, after minutes on top on the mat Edgar’s corner voice - Chris Liguori - shouted “he’s lulling you to sleep.” Click through for more and a bonus video.
