Costas Phillipou To Fight Ricardo Romero At ROC 22 Pending Agreement

Long Island’s Costas Phillipou by way of Cyprus has been told a fight with Ricardo Romero in the Ring Of Combat is a go for November 21 pending Romero’s agreement of the deal. It had been speculated Romero would face Glen Sundall in a re-match of their Light Heavyweight title bout at ROC 21, which Sundall won via disqualification due a head kick from Romero. Glen Sandull OK After Illegal Romero Head Kick At ROC 21

New Jersey’s Glen Sandull (AMA Fight Team) was embroiled in a back and forth slug fest for the 205lb Ring Of Combat belt last Friday night in Atlantic City when he took a brutal right hand from Ricardo Romero, went down to the mat, then Romero followed with a vicious kick to the head. Referee Dan Miragliotta instantly stopped the fight, reprimanded Romero for the illegal kick - doctors rushed into the cage as Sandull lay stunned on the mat. Click through for more.
